Create a new service account

Service accounts are used by applications such as LDAP sync, pre-built or custom bots and any application built using Symphony APIs.

Note: This type of account cannot be assigned to an employee.

To create a new service account, navigate to Create An Account in the Admin Portal under Accounts. Enter the Basic Information of the account under the Service Account tab (Figure 1):

Note: Username and Display name have a 64 character limit.

Note: All other fields have a 256 character limit.

Complete the rest of the account information, for example Additional Information and Entitlements.

Select Create to save the new service account (Figure 2):
