Create a new service account

Service accounts are used by applications such as LDAP sync, pre-built or custom bots and any application built using Symphony APIs.

Note: This type of account cannot be assigned to an employee.

To create a new service account:

  1. Navigate to Create An Account in the Admin Portal under Accounts.
  2. Enter the Basic Information of the account under the Service Account tab.

Notes:

  • The First Name and Last Name fields have a 64 character limit.
  • All other fields have a 256 character limit.
  1. Complete the rest of the account information, for example Additional Information and Entitlements.
  2. Select Create to save the new service account.
