Update Federation chat rooms

From the Symphony Messaging client app

You can access the details of any Federation chat from the Symphony Messaging chat window, and see information such as the name, creation date, members, attachments, and get a link to the chat room.

Add members to an existing Federation chat room

1. Select the Add members link at the top of the chat.

2. Search for the names of the members you wish to add, then select Add.

Promote, demote, or remove Federation chat room members

1. In the Federation chat room, select the three-dot menu, then select Chat details.
2. Select Members to expand the list.
3. Select the three-dot menu of the member you want to update, then select one of the available options:
   1. Make an owner
   2. Remove as owner
   3. Remove from conversation

• You can also update chat room owners and members from the Chat details.

Change the name of a Federation chat room

1. Select the pencil icon.
2. Update the room name as needed, then select the checkmark icon to apply your change. 

• You can also update the chat name from the Chat details.

Add members to an existing Federation chat room

1. Tap the header of a chat to access the Chat details screen, then tap Members.
2. Tap the + icon, search for members you want to add and select the checkbox next to their names.
3. Tap the checkmark icon to add them to the chat.

Promote, demote, or remove Federation chat room members

On the Members screen, press the name of a member and select one of the available options: Make an owner, Remove as owner, or Remove from chat.

Change the name of a Federation chat room

1. Tap the header of a chat to access the Chat details screen.
2. Tap Edit.
3. Update the name of your chat, then tap the checkmark icon to apply your change.
