Super Compliance Officers and Compliance Officers can ban members from specific chat rooms. Banned members are immediately removed from the chat room and blocked from rejoining that room until the ban is removed.
To ban a member:
- In Symphony, select the Settings icon.
- Select Admin Portal.
This option is only available if you're a designated Administrator with Admin Portal access.
- Select Begin Session.
Note: Session Objective and Comments are optional fields and are not required to access the Admin Portal.
- Navigate to All Conversations in the Admin Portal under Compliance.
- Use the Browse Conversations filters to locate the chat room, then select Apply to see the chat details.
- Select the Members tab, then the Ban Member icon for the member you wish to ban.
- Enter a Justification and select Ban.
- To view rooms with banned members, select the Show only rooms with banned members checkbox.
- To view the list of members banned from a room, select the room and navigate to the Banned tab.
