The Prevent Input on Locked Screens feature is designed to prevent unintended button activations on Cloud9 hardware devices, such as the CloudHub and 24-Button Board when a user's Windows session is locked.
When enabled Cloud9 automatically disables all physical button inputs while the workstation is locked and restores functionality once the user signs back in.
This feature helps prevent accidental activation of Hoot or Shoutdown lines when a trader is away from their desk.
For example, if someone accidentally presses a button on a CloudHub or Button Board while the PC is locked, it could open a microphone and transmit background office conversations or noise. Enabling this setting removes that risk.
To enable this feature:
- Open the Cloud9 application.
- Click the Settings icon.
- Select the Application tab.
- Turn on Prevent Input on Locked Screens.
