Enable call forwarding for Cloud Dial Tone (CDT)

Firm Admins can enable call forwarding for CDT users by completing the steps below:

1. Add the desired number as a Divert Target (firm-level)

  1. In the Cloud9 Admin Portal, go to Firms and select the Edit Firm button for the user's firm.
  2. Click Configure CDT Extensions.
  3. Select the Edit extension button to edit the user’s extension.
  4. In the Divert Target field, add the user's mobile number in E.164 format (such as +44…).
  5. Click Save.

2. Grant the user permission to manage forwarding (user-level)

  1. Find the user in the Users tab, and click the Edit user details button.
  2. Open Dial Tone Settings > SIP Settings.
  3. Enable Divert Management.
  4. Click Save.

User experience

Once the above steps are completed, the user can forward calls to their mobile by following these steps:

  • Right‑click their CDT line button > Advanced Settings > toggle Forward Calls ON > select their mobile number.

or

  • Access the Call History tab > toggle Call Forwarding ON  > select their mobile number.

When call forwarding is active:

  • The CDT button displays a red forwarding arrow and “FWD”.
  • A second red arrow appears at the top‑right corner of the app.

Users can disable call forwarding at any time by toggling it back OFF.
