Remove a contact from a WeChat room

To remove members from an existing room on the WeChat Federation channel:

  1. Go to Apps in Symphony Messaging and select WhatsApp under Federation Suite.

Note: If WeChat is not available in the application list under Federation Suite, please check with your internal IT team to see if you have the correct permissions to access this app.

  1. Select the Rooms tab.

  1. Hover over the three dot menu of the room you wish to add the new member(s) to and select Manage Members.

  1. Select the three dot menu corresponding to the member(s) you want to remove and select Remove from conversation.

  1. Return to the room and check whether the members have been removed as expected.
