Clear cache and reload

If a user is experiencing performance issues with Symphony, a quick resolution is to clear the cache and reload Symphony. This clears all local cached data and additionally the IndexDB too which could be the root cause of the problem.

Perform a clear cache and reload by following these steps:

Windows

1. From the Symphony Desktop Application (SDA), select the Hamburger menu.

2. Select Window.

3. Select Clear cache and Reload (Figure 1):

4. The process to clear the local cache and reload Symphony will begin. During the reload, fresh data from your pod will be obtained. This may take several seconds.

5. The user can now attempt to use Symphony and see if the previous issue is resolved.

Note: There is also a keyboard shortcut to clear cache and reload that works in the browser version of Symphony as well as the SDA, ctrl + shift + alt + y.

MacOS

1. From the SDA, select the Window menu.

2. Select Clear cache and Reload (Figure 2):

3. The process to clear the local cache and reload Symphony will begin. During the reload, fresh data from your pod will be obtained. This may take several seconds.

4. The user should now attempt to use Symphony and see if the previous issue is resolved.
