Clear cache and reload

When experiencing performance issues with Symphony Messaging, a quick resolution is to clear the cache and reload Symphony Messaging. This clears all local cached data as well as the IndexDB, which could be the root cause of the problem.

Windows

To perform a clear cache and reload:

  1. From the Symphony Messaging Desktop App (SDA), select the Hamburger menu.
  2. Select Window.
  3. Select Clear cache and Reload or use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Shift+Alt+Y (Symphony Messaging web or SDA version).

This starts the process of clearing the local cache and reloading Symphony Messaging. During the reload, fresh data is obtained from your Symphony Messaging instance, which may take several seconds. You can then attempt to use Symphony Messaging and see if the previous issue is resolved.
