Symphony Desktop Application AutoUpdate

The SDA AutoUpdate feature allows you to update the SDA to its latest version, including Chromium. This feature can only be enabled by the Symphony team. Please reach out to your Technical Account Manager to enable it.

When AutoUpdate is enabled, the SDA checks for the latest version update on the server. If the version can be updated, the SDA notifies you that an update is available through a green banner at the top of the desktop application.

Run the SDA update from the banner

  1. From the SDA, select YES to download and install the SDA update.

If you select NO, you'll receive the notification on the next system start.

  1. During download, select DISMISS to hide the banner.

  1. After the download is complete, select INSTALL to start the installation. The SDA closes and installation starts. When complete, the new SDA version opens.

If you dismiss the download or cancel the installation, by default you will receive a daily notification reminding you that you can update the SDA.

  1. Log in to Symphony again.
