Editing Cloud9 button labels

You can configure the button labels and modify button behaviour (Priority, Float, Pop-up Notification, Momentary or Latching) through the Cloud9 Admin Portal. This feature is useful for updating generic connection names to be more personalised to individual users’ requirements and for assisting in maintaining organization on a user-by-user basis.

  1. Select the Users tab on the Cloud9 Admin Portal.
  2. Hover over the user account in the table and click the Edit Buttons button

  1. Select the Edit icon on the required button.

  1.  Change the generic label to a more appropriate and personalized description in the Button Label field, without affecting other users who share this connection.

  • Priority – The Priority feature on Cloud9 provides distinct audible and visual indications for incoming calls on specific extensions. When enabled, the incoming call flashes in a brighter red colour to notify the user that the call is a priority.
  • Float – The Float feature displays all active calls (ringing, active, held calls) as floating buttons, even if those calls are not on your currently displayed page, so you never miss activity across your button pages. You can turn float on or off per button; by default, it's enabled.
  • Pop-up Notification – When the Popup Notification option is turned on and Cloud9 is minimized, Windows notifications will pop up for any incoming call. You can answer or ignore the call from the call notification
  • Button Behaviour:
    • Latching will open the microphone on the first press of the button and will not close the microphone until the button is pressed a second time.
    • Momentary will open the microphone when pressed and held, then close the microphone when the button is released.
