Symphony Messaging users entitled for WhatsApp can get a "User cannot join any more rooms. They must leave another room to join here." error when trying to add a WhatsApp contact to a room.

This error is displayed because the number of Symphony Messaging chat rooms you can create with the same WhatsApp user cannot be greater than the number of WhatsApp business phone numbers your Symphony Messaging instance (pod) is entitled to.

If your user is already a member of one or more WhatsApp rooms, and you have attained the maximum number of WhatsApp business phone numbers for your Symphony Messaging instance:

1. First, remove the user from the previous room(s).
   Follow the steps in the article Remove a contact from a WhatsApp room.
2. Then you can attempt adding the user to another room.
