Z2 G9 BSoD BIOS fix

Warning! Any changes to BIOS can result in your machine being bitlocked. It’s advisable to generate a BitLocker Recovery key before attempting the steps below.

To stop BSoD on Z2 G9:

  1. Restart your machine and press F10 to enter BIOS.
  2. Enter your BIOS password, if applicable.
  3. Click BIOS Sure Start under the Security tab.

  1. Uncheck the Virtualization Based BIOS Protection option.

  1. Go to the Advanced tab.
  2. Under System Options, uncheck the four options below marked by red arrows (ensure nothing is ticked, or ticked and greyed as shown in the image).

Note: When you uncheck VTd, it will automatically uncheck DMA Protection as prompt will appear.

  1. Go to the Main tab, save the BIOS changes and exit.
