Only users with administrator access can install Symphony Messaging on a shared machine. If required, multiple users can access Symphony Messaging from a single shared machine.
- Download the Symphony Messaging Desktop Application (SDA).
- Select the installation type For all users (admin required), and then select Install.
- Follow the on screen installation prompts.
- After the installation is complete, enter the URL of the Symphony Messaging instance you wish to sign in to and select Continue.
-
- companyabc is the name of your Symphony Messaging instance.
- Select SSO only if your Symphony Messaging pod has been configured for SSO. If in doubt, do not select this option and contact your Symphony administrator.
- The SDA should now load and prompt you to sign in. Sign in with one set of credentials and confirm Symphony Messaging is working correctly.
- Sign out of Symphony Messaging and attempt to sign in again with a different set of credentials.
- Confirm Symphony Messaging is working correctly for the second user.
If these tests fail, please contact the Symphony Support team at support@symphony.com and inform them that you are experiencing issues with multiple users accessing Symphony Messaging from a shared machine.
