Edit a Federation contact

Symphony Messaging users or admins can update WhatsApp contacts’ details, such as their first and last name, company and email.

From the Symphony Messaging client app

1. Type the contact's name in Advanced Search results, access the More menu next to their name and select View profile.

OR

2. In a Symphony Messaging chat with the contact, click on the number of people in the chat header to access the Members panel, select the More menu of the contact, and select View profile.
3. On the contact’s profile card, select the Edit Contact link.

3. Update the contact’s details as needed, and select Save.

From the Symphony Messaging mobile app

Search for the profile of the contact you want to edit, including an incomplete contact:

1. Tap the search icon, select the People tab and start typing 
   the name or phone number of the contact.
2. Select the contact to go to their profile.
3. Select the More menu, then select Edit.
4. Update the contact’s details, and select Save.

Go to a conversation with a contact to access their profile:

1. Tap on a chat on your chat list, or tap the search icon > Rooms and start typing the name of the chat.
2. Tap on the chat header, then tap Members.
3. Tap the contact’s name, and select View profile.
4. Select the More menu, then select Edit.

5. Update the contact’s details, and select Save.
