Whitelist Symphony Messaging notifications in Google Chrome

If you have enabled Symphony Messaging desktop notifications but do not receive them, it might be that Google Chrome is blocking them. To enable them to appear, you may need to whitelist Symphony Messaging notifications in Google Chrome:

  1. From Google Chrome, navigate to chrome://settings/content/notifications?search=notifications and confirm no Symphony Messaging site is present in the Not allowed to send notifications section.

  1. Select Add in the Allowed to send notifications section.

  1. Enter the URL of your company's Symphony Messaging instance, such as https://companyabc.symphony.com in the Site field.
    • companyabc is the name of your Symphony Messaging instance.
    • The format in the example above may not match your Symphony Messaging URL, as an organization may use a unique format. Please check with your internal IT team if you are unsure what to enter.
  1. Select Add.

  1. Restart Google Chrome and confirm Symphony Messaging notifications can now be received.

If you are still not receiving notifications in Google Chrome, please contact Symphony Support at support@symphony.com and inform them that you are experiencing issues with whitelisting Symphony Messaging notifications.
