Filter and search chats

You can filter your chat list to find the people you need to reach out to faster.

Filter your chat list

1. Tap the Filter icon .

2. Select All, Unread, or Mentions to sort the chat list and address important chats quickly.
3. Select Apply to apply the filter.

4. Tap the tag of the filter to disable the selected filter.

Global search

Quickly find the person, message, file, or chat room you’re looking for.

1. Tap the Search icon in the top right corner of the app to access the Search bar and filter options.
2. Type a search item. Matching information will be displayed as the word is typed.
3. Narrow the search results by using the People, Rooms, Messages, or Posts tabs. 

Find and connect with external contacts

You can use the search to find and connect with people outside your organization.

1. Type their name to begin searching.
2. Tap their name in the results list to view their information.
3. Tap the Message icon in the bottom right corner of the app.
4. Tap Yes to confirm and send them a Connection Request.

You must wait for this request to be approved before a chat can be created with the user.
