When a Symphony Messaging user receives an unsolicited message or phone call from a phone number that is not associated with any existing contact in their list, an incomplete contact (and corresponding chat room) is automatically created in the contact list.
Symphony Messaging users or admins can update incomplete contacts in the Symphony Messaging Desktop app.
- Select the Edit contact link at the bottom of an incomplete contact's card, or select the three dot menu and then Edit contact.
- Enter missing details, such as the first and last name, company and email. The phone number cannot be changed.
- Select Apply to save your changes.
Note: Updating an incomplete contact also updates the name of any existing conversation with that contact.
