Reactivate a public room if the account of the owner is deactivated

Sometimes a public room is automatically deactivated when the owner of that room is deactivated and other room members do not have the "canCreatePublicRoom" entitlement. 

You can reactivate a public room in two ways: 

1) Set the entitlement "canCreatePublicRoom" of any user from the room to TRUE from Admin and Compliance portal. Read all steps to update this entitlement in this article

2) Reactivate the room using Symphony APIs.

  • You can reactivate a public room using this API.  
  • The user with the entitlement "canCreatePublicRoom" will automatically become the owner of the room and room will be seen on Symphony.

Note: We recommend you always have at least two owners of every room.
