How to update Smarsh provided PGP/SSH keys

Symphony is moving from standard FTP to PGP encryption for sending data to Smarsh.

 

For customers using the Smarsh archiving tool, the SSH and PGP keys discussed below are required to ensure the information in the Admin Portal is correct.

Update SSH and PGP key information using these steps:

 

1. In Symphony, click Settings in the upper right-hand corner, then click General (Figure 1):

2. Click Go to AC Portal at the bottom of the screen (Figure 2):

Note: Alternatively, navigate to https://companyabc.symphony.com/?admin as an administrator (where companyabc is the name of your pod)

3. Navigate to Export Content under Company Settings and select the SFTP tab (Figure 3):

4. Click Choose your Key followed by User Provided from the dropdown menu

5. Copy and paste the entire public SSH key

6. Select the Encryption tab

7. Click Choose your Key followed by User Provided from the dropdown menu

8. Copy and paste the entire public PGP key, including the "----BEGIN"and "-----END"lines (Figure 4):

9. Click Save
 
10. Exit the Admin Portal
