Symphony Messaging Desktop App (SDA) notifications will be displayed differently depending on the user's operating system.
Windows
In Windows, notifications will be displayed via the Windows Action Center located to the right of the system tray.
To enable Symphony Messaging notifications in the Windows Action Center:
- In the Windows search bar, type Notifications & actions settings and select the result.
- Scroll down to the Get notifications from these senders section, locate the Symphony Messaging icon and enable it.
If notifications are still not being displayed after being enabled within Symphony and the Windows Action Centre/System Preferences, please check your operating system (OS) settings to ensure that Symphony Messaging is permitted to send notifications.
You can further customize the notifications by selecting Symphony Messaging.
MacOS
On MacOS, notifications will be displayed via a pop-out notification.
To enable Symphony Messaging notifications via a pop-out notification:
- Hold cmd + space and search for System Preferences, to open the System Preferences.
- Select Notifications.
- Scroll down the options on the left and select Symphony Messaging.
- Enable notifications via the Allow Notifications button, then define how the notifications will be displayed by using the remaining options.
If notifications are still not being displayed after being enabled within Symphony, please check your operating system (OS) settings to ensure that Symphony is permitted to send notifications.
