Reset your password via a Symphony admin

Symphony admins in your company can reset passwords for users who are unable to do so.

 

Reset a user password via a Symphony admin by following these steps:

 

1. Go to Browse Accounts in the Admin Portal (Figure 1):

2. Locate the user and open the User Information tab (Figure 2):

3. Click Reset Password and the select either Email password reset link or Assign new password from the dropdown menu (Figure 3):

4. If Email password reset link is selected, an email will be sent to the user with a link to reset the password. If Assign new password is selected, 2 options are presented - either to manually create the new password for the user or have Symphony generate the password

 

Note: If Assign new password is selected, remember that the new password must be sent to the user. The user will not automatically receive the password, unlike in the Email password reset link option

 

5. After either method is selected, the user will be able to reset their password or use the Symphony generated password to log in
