Reset a password through the Admin Portal

Symphony admins within your company can reset passwords on behalf of other users.

As a Symphony admin, take the following steps to reset a user's password:

  1. In Symphony, select the Settings icon.


  1. Select Admin Portal.

This option is only available if you're a designated Administrator with Admin Portal access.

  1. Select Begin Session.

Session Objective and Comments are optional fields and are not required to access the Admin Portal.

  1. Select Browse Accounts.


  1. Search for the user and select Reset Password.

  1. Select one of the reset options:
    • Email password reset link: If selected, an email will be sent to the user with a link to reset the password.
    • Assign new password: If selected, you can choose to either manually create the new password for the user, or have Symphony generate the password. The new password must be sent to the user manually as they will not automatically receive it.
  2. After selecting the preferred method, the user will be able to reset their password via the email link, or use the Symphony generated password received from you to log in.
