How to promote a user to owner of a public room

A user not entitled for Can create internal public rooms cannot be promoted to being an owner of a public room.

To check if a user is entitled:

  1. In Symphony, select the Settings icon.

  1. Select Admin Portal.

This option is only available if you're a designated Administrator with Admin Portal access.

  1. Select Begin Session.

Session Objective and Comments are optional fields and are not required to access the Admin Portal.

  1. Search for the relevant user and under Entitlements, check if the Can create internal public rooms entitlement is enabled.

  1. If the entitlement is set to No, change it to Yes.
  2. Select Save.
  3. Return to Symphony and attempt to promote the user to the position of owner within a room.
