To add members to a group chat on the WhatsApp Federation channel:
- Go to Apps in Symphony Messaging and select WhatsApp under Federation Suite.
Note: If WhatsApp is not available in the application list under Federation Suite, please check with your internal IT team to see if you have the correct permissions to access this app.
- Select the Rooms tab.
- Hover over the three dot menu of the room you wish to add the new member(s) to and select Add Member.
- Search for the desired member(s) you want to add to the WhatsApp Federation room, and select Add.
- Return to the room and check the members have been added as expected.
Note: The room status status may change from Active to Inactive when you add a new WhatsApp Federation contact to the room. Limited status indicates that at least one contact has not responded to the last message within 24 hours.
