Urgent chat alerts

Turn on urgent chat alerts to receive pop-up notifications for time-sensitive chats. Go to the settings icon in your left navigation and toggle Urgent chat alerts to on via Settings > General (figure 1).

In Notifications, you can assign alerts to chats and set their frequency (figure 2).

When you receive an urgent chat alert, a pop-up with a message appears with the option to Accept, Snooze, or Decline (figure 3).

If you accept the notification, you will be directed to the chat where the message was sent. The sender receives the following auto-reply: Accepted the chat request.

 

Select Snooze to be reminded of your urgent chat alert or X to take no action. When you snooze you will also see a badge on the right side of your Symphony platform. An auto-reply will not be sent in the chat if you snooze: The numbered badge shows the number of urgent chat alerts you have from users. The urgent chat alert will reappear every 10 minutes.

 

If you decline the alert, the sender will receive the following auto-reply from you: Is not available at the moment.

 

Note: This feature is not available in Symphony 1.5
