If you have enabled Symphony desktop notifications but do not receive them, it might be that Google Chrome is blocking them. To enable these notifications to appear, you may need to whitelist Symphony notifications.
Whitelist Symphony notifications in Google Chrome:
- From Google Chrome, navigate to chrome://settings/content/notifications?search=notifications and confirm no Symphony site is present in the Not allowed to send notifications section.
- Select Add in the Allowed to send notifications section.
- Enter the URL of your company's Symphony instance, such as https://companyabc.symphony.com in the Site field.
-
- companyabc is the name of your Symphony instance.
- The format in the example above may not match your Symphony URL, as an organization may use a unique format. Please check with your internal IT team if you are unsure what to enter.
- Select Add.
- Restart Google Chrome and confirm Symphony notifications can now be received.
If you are still not receiving notifications in Google Chrome, please contact Symphony Support at support@symphony.com and inform them that you are experiencing issues with whitelisting Symphony notifications.
