To communicate with multiple external companies in one chat room (multi-lateral chat), you must enable several pod-level and user-level entitlements.
Note: The following changes require Super Administrator privileges.
Enable the following pod-level entitlements in the Edit Entitlements menu of the Admin Portal (Figure 1):
- Can create multi-lateral room.
- Can join multi-lateral room.

Once enabled, set the New User Default column to Yes or No depending on your internal process. Setting it to Yes will enable multi-lateral entitlements for any new users by default, and setting it to No will disable them.
Enable the following user-level entitlements in the Entitlements menu of the Admin Portal (Figure 2):
- Can create multi-lateral room.
- Can join multi-lateral room.

Note: Once complete, the companies with which you wish to communicate must enable the same entitlements. If they do not, multi-lateral chat will not be possible with those companies.
In addition to the above, you will need to enable an external multi-lateral room. When creating an external chat room to communicate with multiple external companies, enable the Multiple outside companies checkbox (Figure 3):

Once all of the above is completed, add the required multi-lateral enabled members to the room to communicate with multiple external companies in one chat room.
