How to communicate with multiple external companies in one chat room

To communicate with multiple external companies in one chat room (multi-lateral chat), you must enable several pod-level and user-level entitlements.

Note: The following changes require Super Administrator privileges.

1. Enable the following pod-level entitlements in the Edit Entitlements menu of the Admin Portal:

• • Can create multi-lateral room.
  • Can join multi-lateral room.

2. Set the New User Default column to Yes or No depending on your internal process.

• • Yes enables multi-lateral entitlements for any new users by default.
  • No disables multi-lateral entitlements.

3. Enable the following user-level entitlements in the Entitlements menu of the Admin Portal.

• • Can create multi-lateral room.
  • Can join multi-lateral room.

Note: Once complete, the companies with which you wish to communicate must enable the same entitlements. If they don't, multi-lateral chat will not be possible with those companies.

4. In addition to the above, you will need to enable an external multi-lateral room. When creating an external chat room to communicate with multiple external companies, enable the Multiple outside companies checkbox.
   

5. Once all of the above is completed, add the required multi-lateral enabled members to the room to communicate with multiple external companies in one chat room.
