How to configure allowed file types

Symphony users with administrator access can enable or disable individual file types shared in Symphony, in accordance with each organization's guidelines.

To configure allowed file types:

  1. In Symphony, select the Settings icon.


  1. Select Admin Portal. This option is only available if you're a designated Administrator with Admin Select Begin Session.

Note: Session Objective and Comments are optional fields and are not required to access the Admin Portal.

  1. Select Edit Entitlements.


  1. From the File Types tab, enable/disabled the file types as desired. You can use the Search Extensions field to search for specific file types rather than scrolling through the entire list.

  1. You can select the Summary link to view a summary of all internal and external file types that are allowed or blocked. 

All file type attachments have a maximum file size. Refer to Attachment limitations for more information.
