How to update the symphony desktop client pod URL

Update the Symphony desktop client Pod URL by following these steps: 
 

Windows Desktop Client Version 1.44-1.45 

1. From the Windows desktop, click Start

 

2. Type regedit and select the result highlighted below (Figure 1):

3. A User Account Control prompt will be displayed, click Yes to allow changes to be made to your PC

 

4. Navigate to the HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\symphony key (Figure 2):

5. Edit the Key PodUrl value to reflect your company Pod URL:
 
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\symphony]
 
 
 

Windows Desktop Client Version 1.46+ 

1. From the Windows desktop, click Start

 

2. Type regedit and select the result highlighted below (Figure 3):

3. A User Account Control prompt will be displayed, click Yes to allow changes to be made to your PC

 

4. Depending on the install type, navigate to one of the following locations: 

 

Single User:
 
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Symphony\Symphony] key
 
All Users:
 
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Symphony\Symphony]
 
5. Edit the Key PodUrl value to reflect your company Pod URL:
 
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\symphony]

Mac

1. Click Finder from the task bar

 

2. Type Applications in the search bar which appears

 

3. Right click on the Symphony icon and click Show Package Contents (Figure 4):

4. Click on Contents and then Config (Figure 5):

5. Edit the Pod Url value to reflect your company Pod URL

 

Note: For example, https://companyabc.symphony.com/ 

 

6. Save the Config file and exit
