Check the Symphony instance you're connected to

If you have access to multiple Symphony instance, for example a test instance and a production instance, you can determine which instance you are connected to:

Symphony Desktop Application

On the SDA, use Developer Tools to obtain the relevant information:

  1. Press Ctrl+Shift+I in the SDA to display Developer Tools.
  2. Navigate to the Console menu.

  1. Type document.location in the Console menu and press enter. The connected instance will be displayed.

    • companyabc is the name of your Symphony instance.
    • If cp2.symphony.com is the returned value, this is the Symphony-owned Community Connect instance.

Google Chrome

If you are using Google Chrome, the URL will provide the name of the instance. For example, a pod owned by companyabc would be displayed as below:

    • companyabc is the name of your Symphony instance.

If you are unable to obtain the desired Symphony instance information following the steps in this article, contact the Symphony Support team at support@symphony.com and let them know you're experiencing issues identifying which Symphony instance you are connected to.
