On the Symphony Mobile app, you can:

Following colleagues

Follow colleagues to get updates whenever they post to their wall.

  1. Tap the profile picture of the person you want to follow.
  2. Tap + next to their profile picture.

The icon indicates you are now following them.

  1. Tap the icon again to unfollow them. 

Customizing your profile

  1. To view your profile tap Settings in the bottom right of the screen.
  2. Tap your name.

  1. To update your profile picture, tap your avatar or current picture.
  2. Selecting Change Photo.

You can crop the picture before uploading it.

Wall posts

Post to your wall to keep colleagues up-to-date. Anyone who follows you or views your profile will see the post on your wall.

  1. Tap + in the top right corner.
  2. Select Write Post.

  1. After you’ve written your post, tap Publish.

  1. From your Profile, tap Posts to view your wall.

You can delete, like, or share your posts, and like or share posts from your colleagues.


#hashtags are powerful ways to stay on top of trends or news. Users should ensure they use tags consistently so they can keep relevant information in a single feed. They can also create signals to aggregate and track relevant tags.

  1. To insert a tag in your message, type the # symbol followed by a word or words, such as #oilandgas or #XOM


Creating Signals

A signal is an automatic content feed set up to track specific people and #hashtags.

  1. To create a new signal, tap Signals, then tap + in the top right of your screen.
  2. Name the signal, add the people and keywords you wish to track.
  3. Tap Create.

Any time the chosen keywords are used in chats, you’ll receive a notification under My Signals.

  1. Tap the post to go to the original message where the keyword was posted.
