Forward messages and files

In Symphony 2.0:

Hover over the message or file you want to send and click the right arrow that appears on the right (figure 1).

Add the people or chats you want to forward the message to, optionally write a comment for context and click Send (figure 2):

Forwarded messages appear in the chats they are sent to with a grey background.

 

Note: The room owner can choose to disable forwarding. In chat details if you are able to copy messages, the box Members can copy room messages will be ticked. If not, the forward arrow on messages will be disabled.

 

 

 

In Symphony 1.5:

Hover over the message or file you want to send and click the three dots (...) to open the overflow menu. Select Forward. (Figure 1):

Add the people or chats you want to forward the message to, write an additional comment for context and press Send (Figure 2):

Note: The forwarded message will be indicated by a blue line on the left of the text

Note: In chat rooms, the room owner has the option to disable the ability to forward messages and files. This setting is found in Chat Details. Navigate to the i in the upper right hand corner, click Options, click Chat Settings then look under Member Permissions or Chat Settings. If you are able to copy messages, it will say Members can copy room messages
