How to deactivate user accounts

This article provides guidance on how to deactivate Symphony Messaging user accounts. Please note that the deactivation of accounts via the "Bulk Manage Accounts" feature from the Admin Portal is not supported. 

Option # 1 - Refer to the following article for manually deactivating a user account one-by-one through the Admin Portal - Deactivate a user account.

Option # 2 - Use the Symphony REST APIs to deactivate user accounts in bulk by updating the user status - Symphony REST APIs - Update User Status.

To use this option, you need a Service Account/Bot to perform this action, therefore please refer to your internal development team and share the following documentation with them to set up a script in the Bot Development Kit (BDK) in Java or Python - Symphony Dev Docs - Getting Started with BDK
