How to force the logout of a user

Follow the steps below to force the logout of a user from all devices while keeping their account active:

  1. In the Symphony Messaging Admin Portal, navigate to Browse Accounts.
  2. Search for the specific user's account.
  3. Click the blue Change Status button on the right side of the screen and select Suspend from the dropdown menu.
  4. Select any date other than the current one as the suspension time. You can optionally mention you are forcing the user's logout in the Reason to suspend textbox.
  5. Wait a few minutes for the suspension to activate. This will log the user out of all devices.
  6. Click the Change Status button again, and select Activate from the dropdown menu. The user's account will be active again, and they will be able to log back in.
