Neighbor feature

The Neighbors feature in Cloud9 Trader prevents echo on shared lines and is particularly useful when working in an office in close proximity to other Cloud9 users. Adding someone as a neighbor silences your voice on their speakers, as well as their voice on your speakers. It is intended for teams that share Shoutdown connections.

You can manage your neighbors from the Cloud9 Trader and adapt the functionality to your current work environment:

  • When in the office or in close proximity to colleagues, turn on the Neighbors feature to silence your neighbors’ voices on your speakers.
  • When working remotely or at home, turn off the Neighbors feature to hear your neighbors’ voices on your speakers.

Note: The Neighbor feature must be enabled by your Cloud9 Admin on the Cloud9 Portal. If you want to enable the Neighbor feature, please contact your internal IT team or Cloud9 Support at c9helpdesk@symphony.com.
