Creating internal Group connections

There are 2 ways in which you can create an internal Group connection (party line) to speak to your colleagues.

The first option is to create a Group Intercom by selecting the Community menu, then Create Invitation then C9 Intercom (Figure 1):

This section will list every C9 user within your firm. Check the box of an entire Group or each user you want as part of the Group and then select Invite.

Create a name for the connection and select OK. The connection will now be present on your home layout.

Note: All other people invited to that connection needs to accept the connection.

Once created, the connection will be displayed (Figure 2):

When you want to call out to the team, you must select the connection. When it is green you are transmitting and when it is red you are hearing the audio of others on that connection. If you have a button board, you can program this connection on your button board.

The second option is to create a connection that is latched open continuously all day with your team. There are some key factor to consider if you use this approach. Firstly, you need two audio devices, for example a mic, handset and headset etc. Secondly, you cannot keep a connection latched open continuously all day unless you have two audio devices configured.

If these factors are ok, you can create a Group Shout Down by selecting the Community menu, then C9 Community then My Firm (Figure 3):

Select your Group, or the Group you are trying to create an internal Group Shout Down to, then select Invite (Figure 4):

You can create a connection within your own Group or between your Group and another internal Group. This connection will be sent to all members of that Group and they will have the option to accept or not.

Add a Button Label for your firm, choose a Page for the button and select Done (Figure 5):
